Project aim

To strengthen the knowledge of EnDev country-level programs to ensure their processes and actions enable women, as well as men, to participate in and benefit from energy access – as consumers of energy, as energy sector employees, and owners of businesses and enterprises.

Activities and impacts

Strategically and operationally mainstream gender in EnDev’s energy access projects.
Develop an EnDev gender strategy and practical guidelines for energy access projects.
Establish a helpdesk to provide all 21 countries in the EnDev Program with direct access to ENERGIA’s experience and knowledge on gender mainstreaming in energy.
Integrate gender into the project logframes and indicators.
Provide strategic advice on project management.
