How can energy programs improve women’s economic empowerment?Hosted by the Deloitte Center for Energy Solutions and ENERGIA, join us for a panel discussion, breakfast, and networking event on the link between women, energy, and economic empowerment.
Globally, billions of dollars of funding are being committed to energy access programs. This represents a rare opportunity to intentionally shape programming to not only impact communities, but also empower women to be more efficient with household obligations, improve educational outcomes for their children, enter the local workforce, and start their own businesses.
Questions remain, however, on how best to design and target energy programs for women’s economic empowerment. This panel brings together sector specialists, decision-makers and the private sector to discuss practical experiences working at this intersection. This forum will be the first in a three-part series exploring gender in non-traditional sectors.
