Gender and Energy – Agency empowerment

This presentation, developed by Practical Action under the Sustainable Cookstove Sector Program, introduces an agency-based empowerment training aimed at women engaged in energy-related enterprises. Using the “Tree of Life” metaphor, the training guides participants through self-reflection, goal setting, cognitive reframing, and visioning exercises while recognizing structural conflicts that may hinder progress. Leadership models and behavior-change strategies are also introduced to encourage women to become visionary leaders capable of driving personal and community change in the clean energy sector.
